- The observer newspaper target a predominately male audience. At the start if the newspaper their is hard news mixed with opinion articles. The sports section is in the middle so that all th most imprints articles are at the front. There is also a magazine inside containing lots of fashion, cooking, relationship style context which targets mostly women.
The Guardian and Observer reader profile:
- The Guardian and Observer readers are loyal middle aged, middle class people. They target predominately males as we can see in the sports section, found in the middle of the news paper, that only shows mostly male sports. They could also be news hungry and constantly wanting to say on top of all the hard news which is easily accessible in the first section of the newspaper. Overall this reader would most likely have a liberal view and enjoy the equality and diversion that The Guardian/Observer expresses.

Media language is used to create meaning to appeal to its audience as the tabs of the different sections are positioned at the top of the page so that its drawn to the readers attention straight away.The section at the top is all blue which reflect the liberal and equality values of the Scott Trust.
In the addition in this lifestyle section all the text is in pink which could show that the women dominate the lifestyle section. Also in the bottom right their is a article showing the best party outfits for all ages which allows all ages to read, despite it mainly targeting middle added people.
